Cycology Episode 4: Using Chamois Cream

"Hey, my hoo hoo hurts...what should I do about that?"

Here at Cycology we are totally winning with more fun ways to get your lady bits happy while riding a bike.

On this episode we learn valuable lessons about chamois creams from Petal Power* founder Jill Hamilton. Jill is one badass rider who took saddle discomfort into her own hands and created a women's specific plant-based ride system that keeps riders comfortable before, during, and even after riding.

Have more questions for Jill or ready to empower your flower? Contact Jill on the Petal Power website and be sure to read up on Jill's very witty Chamois Cream 101- your hoo hoo will thank you!

Cycology Episode 3: The Perfect Saddle

"I love to ride my bike, but my hoo ha hurts so damn much when I do."

Yeah ladies, we've been there! Luckily we got let in on a little secret avid cyclists have known for ages; a properly fitted saddle can make or break your riding experience.

On this episode of Cycology we chat with Gladys Bikes owner Leah Benson about how to find the perfect saddle. The process may not be easy (or cheap!) but we think its worth it. Leah is considered one of the gurus of saddle fit, her Portland Oregon based shop is home to one of the world's only Saddle Libraries. Yep, there is a place that exists that you can check out bike saddles just like a book.

Have more questions for Leah? Her contact and shop information can be found on the website for Gladys Bikes

Cycology Episode 2: Bike Fit

We make sure our clothes fit, our shoes fit, and our gear fits...so where is the love for bike fit? There are so many misconceptions and old-school (aka out of date) theories about bike fit that many of us forgo the process altogether and, sometimes unknowingly, make biking a lot less fun than it could be. On this episode we talk to bike shop manager and industry jill-of-all-trades Mel Bowan about how we can make sure our bikes fit us properly.

Love Mel as much as we do? You can contact her at mbowen@jaxbicycles.com
